Entertainer Lee Eun Ji elevated the energy of MBC’s new show ‘Extreme 84’, which premiered on November 30.
As one of the MCs, Lee Eun Ji brought a fresh perspective to the program, which follows Kian84 as he attempts marathon courses far beyond 42.195 km in extreme natural environments.

While other MCs have significant running experience, Lee Eun Ji admitted she is a “beginner runner,” saying, “It’s embarrassing, but Kian84 created such a running craze that I thought, ‘Should I try it too?’ After running a few times, I felt like I had actually achieved something.” She added that she lost weight through running, dropping from 65 kg to 56 kg.

Throughout the episode, she helped highlight key moments for viewers and kept the mood upbeat with her humorous reactions. When Choo Sunghoon, Kian84’s first planned crew member had to drop out due to injury, she expressed sympathy, saying, “He must have been so disappointed after preparing so much. But this was probably the best choice for everyone.”
As the cast moved toward an uphill marathon course surrounded by wildlife like rhinos, zebras, and giraffes at 600 meters elevation, Lee Eun Ji reacted honestly: “How do you even run here? I would be terrified,” and “The difficulty is extreme. Running on flat ground is hard enough, this is too high.”
In 2024 alone, Lee Eun Ji has appeared in a wide range of variety shows, including JTBC’s ‘Battle! Peng Bong’, tvN’s ‘Earth Arcade 3’, EBS1’s ‘Akiyama Yoshihiro's Gotta Earn His Meal’, Netflix’s ‘Better Late Than Single’, SBS’s ‘Star Talk: Report, Report, Report’, and SBS Plus’ ‘Real Romance Lab: Poison Apple Season 2’.
Her versatility has cemented her status as one of the year’s top entertainers, and viewers are eager to see what she will bring to ‘Extreme 84’.
