Kim Soo Yong lost consciousness during a shoot on the afternoon of Nov. 14, 2025 KST in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, and is now recovering in an intensive care unit.
According to staff at the scene, colleagues and crew administered first aid and called emergency services. Fire and rescue responders performed CPR and other measures before rushing Kim Soo Yong to Guri Hanyang University Hospital.
He subsequently regained breathing and consciousness in the emergency room and was transferred to the ICU for treatment. Further tests and care are planned.
A representative from his agency, Media Lab Seeso, told News1: "He was in a very serious condition when he collapsed, but fortunately regained consciousness after emergency treatment." The agency added, "Family members are at his side as he prepares for detailed examinations, and he will focus on treatment and recovery for the time being."
Debuting after placing in KBS’s first University Comedy Competition in 1991, Kim Soo Yong has appeared on numerous variety programs and recently expanded into new projects, including the agency’s “Vivo TV” YouTube content.
