Singer and actor Ok Taecyeon of 2PM officially announced his marriage through a handwritten letter, becoming the second married member of the group. The announcement comes nine months after reports surfaced of his romantic proposal in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
On November 1, his agency 51K released an official statement saying, “Actor Ok Taecyeon has promised to spend the rest of his life with someone he has been in a long-term relationship with.”
The agency added, “The wedding will take place privately in Seoul next spring, attended only by family members and close acquaintances. As his fiancée is a non-celebrity, we ask for understanding that detailed information will remain confidential.”
Earlier, Ok Taecyeon personally shared a handwritten letter through his social media account to deliver the news to fans. He wrote, “I’ve decided to spend my life with someone who has understood and trusted me for a long time. We will continue to walk through life together, supporting one another.”
He continued, “I sincerely thank everyone who has always supported me. Your unwavering love and encouragement have given me strength beyond words. I will continue to do my best to repay your trust and affection as a member of 2PM, as an actor, and as your Taecyeon.”

With this, Ok Taecyeon joins the ranks of married men six years after publicly confirming his relationship in 2020. His marriage announcement has also reignited interest in earlier wedding rumors that emerged last February, when photos of him proposing to his girlfriend in front of the Eiffel Tower circulated online, sparking speculation that a wedding was imminent.
In addition, late last year, OSEN exclusively reported that Ok Taecyeon and his fiancée were spotted enjoying a date near Apgujeong Rodeo Station in Seoul. The couple was seen strolling arm-in-arm through the winter streets of Sinsa-dong, seemingly unfazed by onlookers recognizing them. Their affectionate appearance fueled further rumors about an upcoming marriage.
At the time, however, his agency clarified that the “proposal photos” were simply snapshots taken to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday, dismissing any immediate wedding plans. Nonetheless, nine months later, the official marriage announcement has been met with warm congratulations from fans and the public alike.
Debuting in 2008 as a member of 2PM, Ok Taecyeon has built a successful career as both an idol and an actor. He now follows Hwang Chansung, who married in 2022, becoming the second 2PM member to wed.
