Rookie actress Han Gaeul has been confirmed to be the niece of top actor Won Bin drawing attention from fans and the entertainment industry alike.
Han Gaeul made her debut in 2022, appearing in the music video for singer Nam Young Joo’s single “Again, Dream.” At the time, her agency Story J Company announced their exclusive contract with her, describing Han Gaeul as “an actress with limitless potential.”
In September 2025, Han Gaeul took on her first acting role in the MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'To the Moon,' where she portrayed Jang Ye Jin, an intern in the marketing team of Maron Confectionery. Despite quietly building her career, the recent revelation that she is Won Bin’s biological niece has sparked surprise and interest.
On October 21, a representative from Story J Company confirmed to Star News, “Han Gaeul is the daughter of Won Bin’s older sister. They are indeed family relatives.” The representative also added, “Han Gaeul’s real name is Hwang Gaeul.”
With her connection to one of Korea’s most beloved actors and her own emerging talent, Han Gaeul is now seen as one of the most promising new faces in the industry.
