Lee Mi Joo mentioned 'Hangout With Yoo' in five months since leaving the show.
On October 3, a video titled "Mijoo the drink lover’s Osaka food pairing recommendations (feat. Japanese convenience store autumn releases)" was uploaded to her YouTube channel 'Just Lee Mi Joo.' In the video, Mi Joo visited a local izakaya during a business trip to Osaka, enjoying beer and chatting about her recent life updates.
During the conversation, Mi Joo said, "Recently, (Joo) Woo Jae oppa called me. He’s the kind of person who would never call unless there’s a camera, so when I saw it was late, I thought, 'Is there no camera?' and picked up. He was drunk."
She laughed as she continued, "He told me, ‘Invite me to your YouTube channel, you’re almost at 100,000 subscribers.’ Then (Lee) Yi Kyung oppa also called and said, ‘Hey, invite us. We’ve got some history together, don’t we?’ So I told them, ‘I’d be grateful if you came on.’"
Recalling the conversation, Mi Joo went on, "Woo Jae oppa called again and asked, ‘How have you been?’ I said, ‘Same as always.’ Then he asked, ‘Do you watch “Hangout with Yoo”?’ and I said, ‘I don’t.’"
Her honest response brought laughter from everyone on set. Mi Joo then shared that Woo Jae sent her a message afterward, showing that he was actually filming 'Hangout with Yoo' at that moment.
Laughing, she added, "I said I don’t watch 'Hangout with Yoo,' but I told them that I am actually watching it well, haha. Since those guys said they’d come on my YouTube channel, maybe I should reach out. I don’t know if they meant it, but it’s worth a try.’"
Meanwhile, Lee Mi Joo officially left 'Hangout with Yoo' in May 2025.
