Entertainment insiders told Sports Chosun on October 22 that actor Kim Seon Ho will take the lead in the upcoming drama (working title) 'Bless the Congressman.'
The series is adapted from a popular web novel by Kim Hyun Bin, which has amassed a loyal fanbase. The story follows Go Young Jin, a six-term congressman who dies by suicide in 2008, only to awaken as a ghost in 1998. He then teams up with Cha Jae Rim, a Grade 9 civil servant, to navigate political intrigue and form an unusual partnership in the halls of power.
Kim Seon Ho will play Cha Jae Rim, a civil servant who can see ghosts. After taking in the spirit of Go Young Jin, Cha Jae Rim rises in the political world like a shooting star and engages in a strategic showdown with the living Go Young Jin.
Kim Seon Ho debuted in 2009 with the play 'New Boeing Boeing' and has since built a strong filmography, including roles in 'Good Manager,' '100 Days My Prince,' 'Start-Up,' 'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,' and 'The Tyrant.' He recently completed filming 'Can This Love Be Translated?' with Go Yoon Jung and is currently working on 'Delusion' alongside Suzy. Filming for 'Bless the Congressman' is expected to start after he finishes 'Delusion.'
