Close Your Eyes announced that member Kenshin will be temporarily halting his activities due to health concerns.
On October 14, the group’s agency, UNCORE, stated, “Kenshin recently visited a medical facility due to a sudden decline in his condition caused by flu-like symptoms and was diagnosed with shingles.”
The agency confirmed that Kenshin will focus on recovery for the time being. “He will be hospitalized for treatment and plans to return to activities once his health has improved,” a representative said.
For this week’s scheduled events, the remaining six members of Close Your Eyes will participate without Kenshin. The agency added, “We ask for fans’ understanding and will do our utmost to support Kenshin’s speedy recovery.”
Close Your Eyes is a seven-member boy group formed through JTBC’s reality program 'Project 7.'
UNCORE’s Official Statement:
"Hello, this is UNCORE.
First, we would like to thank all CLOSERs for always supporting CLOSE YOUR EYES.
We would like to provide an update regarding the condition and future schedule of CLOSE YOUR EYES member Kenshin.
Kenshin recently visited a hospital due to flu-like symptoms and was diagnosed with shingles. He will be hospitalized for treatment to ensure a speedy recovery and will resume activities after sufficient rest and recuperation.
Accordingly, this week’s scheduled activities will proceed with six members excluding Kenshin, and we kindly ask for CLOSERs’ understanding.
We will continue to do our best to support the swift recovery of our artist. Thank you."
