Actor Jang Dong Joo, who had gone missing after posting an apology on social media, has been confirmed safe.
On October 31, his agency NEXUS E&M told Xports News that they had identified his whereabouts. The agency stated, “We have confirmed Jang Dong Joo’s location. He is not in a bad situation. We sincerely apologize for causing concern.”
Earlier that day, Jang Dong Joo uploaded a black image with the message “I’m sorry” on his personal social media account. Soon after, he became unreachable, which led to widespread concern among fans.
The agency, which was also unable to contact him, began efforts to locate the actor. About four hours later, they successfully re-established contact and confirmed his safety.
Jang Dong Joo made his acting debut in the 2017 KBS2 drama 'School 2017' and later appeared in OCN’s 'Class of Lies' and the Netflix series 'Trigger.' He is also set to appear in the upcoming SBS drama 'Human from Today,' which is scheduled to air next year.
In 2021, he was praised for his quick action when he witnessed a hit-and-run drunk driving incident and personally helped catch the perpetrator.
