Rapper Lee Young Ji expressed her anger toward ticket scalpers selling concert tickets at exorbitant prices.
On March 19, the YouTube channel 117 uploaded a video titled, 'What Do I Do?I Think He Likes Me I SEVENTEEN Seungkwan I Lee Youngji | Bibabu.' In the video, Lee Young Ji appeared as a guest and discussed her experiences with Seventeen member Seungkwan and the group’s concerts.
Lee Young Ji vented her frustration, saying to Seungkwan, “The concert was sold out, and I tried so hard to lower the ticket price by 10,000 KRW (about 7.6 USD), but someone added 10,000 or 20,000 KRW (about 7.6 or 15 USD) and sold it for 700,000 KRW (about 530 USD). Do they think people are fools?” She didn’t hold back, including curse words to emphasize her anger.
She continued, “Scalping really needs to be eradicated. Selling tickets at ridiculous prices like 1,000,000 KRW (about 760 USD) or 2,000,000 KRW (about 1,520 USD) is one thing, but it’s even more infuriating when they increase the price by just 20,000 or 30,000 KRW (about 23 USD) to sell. I want to eliminate this practice entirely.”
In response, Seungkwan offered advice: “If you look near the security team, the entrances, or the parking lot, you can always find people selling tickets.” Lee Young Ji then asked, “So should we confront them immediately?” Seungkwan joked, “Grab them by the collar,” causing everyone to laugh.
The conversation later shifted to Seventeen’s concert openings. Seungkwan shared, “It’s different each time, but once we opened with "Super." All 13 members were on wires, and the audience reaction was amazing.” Lee Young Ji also commented on the group’s energetic performances, noting, “"VERY NICE" is performed eight or nine times, and it still excites the crowd. Audience interaction is really important.” Seungkwan added, “"VERY NICE" has been repeated for almost 10 years, and we just can’t give it up.”
Previously, Lee Young Ji had also taken to her personal social media last month, warning scalpers: “I’ll take care of all the ticket resellers. You better watch out.”
