IU, Kim Go Eun, and Go Yoon Jung are set to go head-to-head as they each return to the small screen in the same month, promising a visual treat for viewers. With each project already generating strong buzz, attention is naturally turning to the competition among the three actresses.
IU will kick things off. She is making her return to television through MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama 21st 'Perfect Crown,' premiering on April 10.
'Perfect Crown' is set in a fictional 21st-century constitutional monarchy in Korea. It tells the story of a wealthy chaebol woman who has everything but is frustrated by her commoner status, and a prince who, despite being the king’s son, possesses nothing. The drama follows their journey of defying social status and forging their own destinies through romance.

IU plays Sung Hee Joo, the CEO of Castle Beauty, who has beauty, talent, and wealth, yet constantly faces the limitations of her social status as a commoner.
Explaining why she chose the project following the Netflix series 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' IU said, “The title was unique and memorable. I enjoyed reading it because each character had a distinct personality, and I was especially drawn to Hee Joo’s unpredictable actions and the driving force behind them.”
Adding to the anticipation, rising star Byeon Woo Seok, who gained massive popularity through 'Lovely Runner,' stars as the male lead. Their pairing drew attention from the casting stage, making the drama one of the most anticipated releases of the first half of the year.
Kim Go Eun will take over shortly after. The TVING original series 'Yumi’s Cells 3' is set to premiere on April 13.

'Yumi’s Cells 3' follows Yumi (played by Kim Go Eun), now a successful star writer, whose calm and uneventful life is shaken by the sudden appearance of an unexpected person. The story once again captures the emotional ups and downs of love through the perspective of her “cells.”
The series previously gained widespread popularity for its innovative blend of live-action and 3D animation. It also proved its success by returning for a rare third season.
With nearly four years having passed since Season 2, anticipation is especially high among fans. Alongside Kim Go Eun, Kim Jae Won newly joins the cast, while director Lee Sang Yeob and writers Song Jae Jung and Kim Kyung Ran reunite, further raising expectations.
Go Youn Jung will also join the lineup soon after. She returns to television through JTBC’s new Saturday-Sunday drama 'We Are All Trying Here,' which premieres on April 18, just about three months after her appearance in Netflix’s 'Can This Love Be Translated?'

'We Are All Trying Here' tells the story of a woman who struggles with envy and jealousy while feeling left behind among her accomplished peers, eventually finding her own sense of peace.
Go Yoon Jung plays Byun Eun Ah, a determined character who starts as a contract office assistant after graduating high school and works her way up to become a full-time producing director.
The drama is already drawing attention as it marks the return of writer Park Hae Young, known for 'My Mister' and 'My Liberation Notes,' alongside director Cha Young Hoon, who helmed 'When the Camellia Blooms' and Welcome to Samdalri.
With IU, Kim Go Eun, and Go Yoon Jung all set to make their returns in April, anticipation is building over what results each will achieve—and ultimately, who will come out on top.
