Former classmates of actress Song Ha Yoon have stepped forward to challenge her recent denial of allegations involving school violence and a forced transfer. Their testimonies were made public in a video released by entertainment reporter Lee Jin Ho on his YouTube channel on September 2nd.

Song Ha Yoon had previously admitted through her former agency that she was transferred from school, but denied any involvement in violence. More recently, however, she escalated her stance, claiming with legal representation that neither violence nor a forced transfer ever occurred.

In response, one alleged victim identified as A, who claims to have endured 90 minutes of slapping by Song Ha Yoon during their school years, has returned to Korea to pursue legal action. A announced plans to file a symbolic lawsuit worth 10 billion KRW (approximately $7.4 million), accusing the actress of framing victims and inflicting secondary harm.

Following this, former classmates from Banpo High School came forward with their own accounts. According to Lee Jin Ho, “Classmates who remember the Song Ha Yoon incident have contacted me with their testimonies,” before releasing their recorded interviews.

One classmate introduced themselves as a friend of Song Ha Yoon’s former boyfriend and explained, “When Song Ha Yoon appeared on 'Knowing Bros' and became emotional, all of us who went to Banpo High School reacted the same way. Even after so many years, it was upsetting because I know some of the victims, and it would have been very uncomfortable for them.”

The classmate continued, “I clearly remember seeing the victim’s face after the assault. Out of a group of four, three girls were involved in the beating. After the incident, the three scattered and were no longer seen together. If it was not a forced transfer, why would they suddenly disappear? Song Ha Yoon was not the type to take the lead, so I did not realize how serious it was until later.”

They also addressed claims from another alleged victim, a junior student identified as A, saying, “I think I know the exact location where it happened, and if that is the place, then it is definitely possible.” Regarding Song Ha Yoon’s claim that she transferred schools to focus on her acting career, the classmate countered, Banpo High School never restricted students from pursuing entertainment. In fact, famous actors attended our school without problems. It was quite a free and relaxed environment.”

Another classmate, identified as B, recalled, “When Song Ha Yoon first transferred, people approached her because she was an aspiring actress, but over time we grew distant.” B strongly refuted Song’s current claims, stating, “She is lying to the very end. Everyone at Banpo High School knew she transferred because of a fight. The school was generally peaceful, and incidents of violence were rare. But when this happened, the rumors spread quickly. The girls involved stopped showing up at school.”

B added, “Even back then, when she became active as an actress, we used to say among ourselves, ‘If her past comes out, it will be a big problem.’ When the allegations finally surfaced, we thought she should just apologize if she did something wrong. But she shows no sign of reflection. That is very much like her.”

Screenshots of the Banpo High School alumni group chat were also revealed. In messages dated July 2, the day Song Ha Yoon denied both school violence and a forced transfer, classmates wrote, “She is just doing media play now to protect her career.” In another chat from April 2, after Song claimed she had never even met A, the alleged victim, the classmates commented, “This is killing the victim twice.”

The controversy surrounding Song Ha Yoon continues to intensify as the gap between her public denials and her classmates’ testimonies grows wider.
