tvN has confirmed that its new variety program, 'A Trip for Beans to Sprout, Laugh and Happiness Abroad' (directed by Na Young Seok, Ha Moo Seong, and Shim Eun Jung), will premiere on October 17 at 8:40 PM KST. The show follows Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Woo Bin, and Doh Kyung Soo (D.O.) as they embark on an adventure in Mexico to broaden their horizons.
The program is a spin-off of 'Green Bean, Red Bean: Cafeteria Operation,' focusing on KKPP Food employees who, after successfully completing missions in the original series, travel abroad to gain insights for the company’s growth. This marks the second spin-off of the popular 'Green Bean, Red Bean' series.
Joining the trip are KKPP Food CEO Lee Kwang Soo and Executive Director Doh Kyung Soo, with Kim Woo Bin, currently in a public relationship with Shin Min Ah, joining as part of the internal audit team. The trio promises lively chemistry as they take charge of planning the itinerary, including destinations, accommodations, and activities. Adding to the fun, they must manage their budget carefully due to financial constraints imposed by the company, even engaging in negotiations at times.
The first 42-second teaser highlights the team’s humorous misadventures. Lee Kwang Soo amusingly vents about the challenges he faces, saying, “I can’t broaden my horizons because we don’t have money right now,” and, “I can’t sleep because of the smell… the ants are driving me crazy!” He even jokingly remarks, “Technically, we’ve been scammed. My mom would cry if she saw this,” teasing viewers with the promise of another legendary season. The teaser also shows Lee humorously unaware of the program’s title, further adding to the comic moments.
Meanwhile, the 15-second teaser shows the trio silently traveling by boat, face masks on, hinting at a journey in Mexico that is anything but easy.
