The 24-member boy group under MODHAUS, idntt, has launched its first sub-unit, marking the beginning of the group’s journey to establish its identity in the music scene.
unevermet, the first unit, has heightened anticipation with the release of their debut mini-album. Through this album, members Kim DoHun, Kim HeeJi, Choi TaeIn, Lee JaeYoung, Kim JuHo, Nam JiWoon, and Lee HwanHee aim to share a story where ambition, anxiety, and audacity are all part of discovering their identity.
As they search for the answer to the question, “When do we finally meet our own identity?”, the boys navigate tracks that reflect their ambitious pursuit of this goal. ‘unevermet’ features three title songs: “You Never Met,” “Storm,” and “BOYtude.”
Each track delves into a different aspect of their journey, discussing the uncertainty of the future, the challenges they face in an unpredictable world, and the wounds that shape them through every setback.
The mini-album also includes B-side tracks “New,” “Instant Chemistry,” “EGO : Limitless,” and “Adolescence.”
unevermet’s debut will be followed by sub-units yesweare and itsnotover, which will complete the 24-member lineup once they have all debuted.
Following ‘unevermet’s release, allkpop had the opportunity to speak with the members on their journey to debuting and their experience working on the album. Check out the exclusive interview below!
Shout-out to allkpop:

allkpop: Congratulations on your debut! Tell us how you feel about finally debuting after the training period.
Kim DoHun: Hello! Thank you so much for the congratulations. I was a trainee for a long time and the dream of debuting seemed to be getting further away, so to be able to finally make my debut is unbelievable and honestly, it still doesn’t feel real to me. I am beyond happy every single time I stand on stage and see fans who support and like me. This debut is not something that came easily to me, so I will do my absolute best and cherish this opportunity.
Kim HeeJu: I dreamed about being on stage ever since I was young, so the fact that the dream of debuting has finally come true makes me really happy. During the training process there were some difficult moments, but I put in a lot of effort to overcome them, and now that I can stand on the stage I am absolutely delighted and I will do my best to show myself from the best side.
Choi TaeIn: The excitement still hasn’t worn off. I am so thankful that there are fans who love and support us.
Lee JaeYoung: After a training period that felt both long and short, I’m finally debuting, and I’m truly happy! I used to imagine the day I’d be on stage and meet fans while practicing in the studio, and now that it’s really happening, it feels so moving and surreal.
Kim JuHo: After only going back and forth between the practice room and the dorm every day, finally debuting and stepping out into the world feels incredibly refreshing and new. It still feels surreal. I’m hoping to make diverse experiences moving forward.
Nam JiWoon: Because of thoughts like “Wow, I have finally been revealed to the world!”, “We have become a team,” I am overjoyed. As this was the last chance I gave myself, took up the challenge and succeeded, I am beyond happy. I would like to thank my parents, who silently waited and supported me when I was pursuing this dream one last time.
Lee HwanHee: The fact that my dream of debuting has come true still doesn’t feel real. I am very thankful for this opportunity, and even though it still feels surreal I am ecstatic.

allkpop: Were you kind of pressured that your unit, unevermet, was the first one to introduce idntt? How different do you think unevermet is compared to the next two units?
Kim JuHo: I felt both confidence and pressure about being part of the first unit of idntt. As I was a trainee for a long time, I started getting worried about my career… That’s when this opportunity came into my life, so I wanted to do my absolute best, make this work without any regrets. Even though the pressure was on, I felt that putting in effort and giving it my all, made it feel less of a burden. unevermet, formed by people similar to me, is idntt’s first step and I truly believe that it’s a wonderful group that represents the starting point of something great. unevermet, along with yesweare and itsnotover who we are yet to meet, will all come out with music unique to the unit.
allkpop: You worked with familiar names in the industry. What was your experience like, and did you learn anything from them music-wise? How did it feel knowing that such prominent music professionals would be working on your debut?
Choi TaeIn: As it was the first time we were working on an album, there were some difficulties, but the feedback from producers and songwriters was extremely helpful to us. They would point out our shortcomings and help us fix them. It was an honor to be able to work with them, and through this collaboration I think we made great progress.
Lee HwanHee: I felt truly thankful and supported. I think a debut is such an important beginning and being able to make our first steps with such prominent musicians was an honor, I was really happy.

allkpop: Among all the songs, why did you choose “You Never Met,” “Storm,” and “BOYtude” to serve as the triple title tracks?
Kim DoHun: All of these three songs have the messages that we wanted to convey. There are a lot of moments in life where we get hurt, whether it’s through interpersonal relationships, or life situations. I hope that when people listen to ‘BOYtude’ they will realize that getting hurt should not be the reason for one’s fear or frustration, but rather be a symbol of growth, I hope ‘BOYtude’ makes people think, “This is another step in my journey of self improvement.” I also have these thoughts when listening to this track.
Nam JiWoon: “You Never Met’”s keyword is “Coincidence.” Each of us came from different walks of life, and almost as if by chance, we came together to prepare for our debut. During the training process, there were certainly many differences, but by complementing one another and filling in each other’s gaps, we grew into a true team. In that sense, I believe our journey mirrors the message this song conveys.
Kim JuHo: I think that “Storm,” which is represented by the keyword “Challenge,” perfectly depicts idntt’s beginning. It is a portrait of someone who dreams of becoming an idol. They don’t stop and keep challenging themselves to achieve their dream.
allkpop: What was your first reaction when you knew you will be working with each other under the unit, unevermet? What were your first impressions of each other?
Kim DoHun: All 7 of us have very distinctive colors and personalities, so I was a little bit worried if we could be in harmony with one another, but at the same time I was excited to have made such a team. Right now we’re by each other's side 24/7, and it feels just like we are slowly becoming one.
Kim HeeJu: When I first heard the news we would be making this debut together, I felt both excitement and pressure. Each person had a very defined personality and charm. As time passed by, our teamwork was getting better, and now promoting together is just a pleasure.
Choi TaeIn: When I heard I would be making my debut with these members I was ecstatic; not only did I know them very well, but we were also close. I remember when we first met we were a little shy around each other, but it seems like when we broke the ice, we got close instantly.
Lee JaeYoung: When I found about making my debut under unevermet with the current members, I remember thinking “We can do very well”. I’m really glad and grateful that we came together in this way. I am quite timid, so at first I found it difficult to get close to the members, but now I think they are absolutely irreplaceable.
Kim JuHo: When I joined the company and found out I would be debuting with these members, I really thought that we could make it together - I was so grateful and happy. All of the members looked so gentle and nice when I first met them.
Nam JiWoon: I was getting worried and anxious about my future around the time when I heard that I would be making my debut, and instantly the weight lifted off my shoulders, I was truly happy. When I first met the members, they were all very charming. I was very excited about making a team with these boys.
Lee HwanHee: When the first debut lineup was announced, there were members I was close with and others I still felt awkward around. But now, this has become our team - one that I truly love with all my heart!

allkpop: Lastly, please share with us your short- and long-term goals for unevermet and idntt in general!
Kim HeeJu: I think that my goal for now is being able to meet our fans, and showcasing our music and performances. Moving forward, I want to keep on improving and show people who idntt really is. My ultimate goal, however, is to become a team that is remembered for a long time all around the world.
Lee JaeYoung: Ever since I was young I would watch end of year shows, so I really want to perform on an end of year stage this year. I want idntt to be known worldwide, and I’m going to be doing my best until everyone finds their idntt!
Nam JiWoon: My goal is to show people idntt’s performances at the end of year shows and award shows. If I imagine the future, my dream is to hold a concert at a huge venue where I can sing, have fun, and enjoy the moment together with our members and fans.
