The YouTube channel of the late creator Great Library (Na Dong Hyun) will remain online as a space to remember him, according to a notice from 'Great Library TV' on September 13, 2025 KST. The channel team wrote, “To everyone who loved Great Library, we offer our heartfelt thanks and condolences. We will maintain this channel so fans can revisit memories and keep their good impressions of him.”
The update also shared news about his dogs: “His younger sister is currently caring for Danchoo and Kkomengi. Both are eating well and in good health. Kkomengi was advised to undergo cruciate-ligament and patellar surgery and is scheduled for the procedure on September 14, 2025 KST.”
A public 49th-day memorial is planned: “The final 49th-day service will be held on October 23, 2025 KST at Yaksa-sa on Manwol-san in Namdong-gu, Incheon. Danchoo and Kkomengi will attend, and anyone wishing to pay respects may join.”
Na Dong Hyun was found deceased at his home in Seoul’s Gwangjin-gu on September 6, 2025 KST. An autopsy by the National Forensic Service determined the cause of death to be a cerebral hemorrhage. Fans have since expressed grief and gratitude across social platforms.
Beginning internet broadcasting in 2002 on SayClub and later streaming on AfreecaTV, Twitch, and YouTube, Great Library became known as a “first-generation creator.” He was widely praised for clean, non-profane streams and clear boundaries with viewers—an approach credited with improving perceptions of streamers. He previously married fellow creator Yum-daeng (Lee Chae Won); the couple later divorced by mutual agreement after eight years and had no children.
