TWS has heightened anticipation for their comeback with visuals reminiscent of manga characters.
On September 29th KST, their agency Pledis Entertainment released official photos for the group’s 4th mini album ‘play hard’ through TWS’s official social media channels.
The concept, titled the ‘play mode’ version, captures the inner spirit of boys who want to immerse themselves wholeheartedly in what they love. The members’ serious gazes into the camera reflect their yearning for freedom.
Unique graphic elements, such as 2D-rendered wings, bold styling, and the members’ striking physiques, combine to create visuals as if they stepped right out of a comic book. The accompanying illustrated artwork also drew attention, portraying the members diving into their passions without hesitation through a free-spirited drawing style, conveying TWS’s dynamic energy.
This is not their first venture into manga-inspired visuals. For their debut mini album ‘Sparkling Blue’, TWS collaborated with renowned artist Chon Kye Young, incorporating original artwork from her comic Unplugged Boy into the Weverse Albums ver. cover design. With the new ‘play mode’ concept photos, the group further emphasizes their signature appeal by building on these artistic experiments.
TWS will continue fueling their comeback momentum by unveiling the compact version official photos for ‘play hard’ on the 30th at 10 PM.
The group’s 4th mini album ‘play hard’ will be released on October 13th. The album encapsulates the message of pouring all of one’s youth and passion into giving their very best. Its pre-release track “Head Shoulders Knees Toes”—released on the 22nd—has already received positive reactions for its intense emotions expressed through high-difficulty performance.
