TWICE's mics cut off at Lollapalooza as they refuse to leave stage amid encore requests

TWICE's mind-blowing stage at Lollapalooza left the crowd wanting more—until their mics were turned off.

On August 2, TWICE delivered their highly anticipated headline performance at the '2025 Lollapalooza Chicago.' For roughly an hour and thirty minutes, the group performed hit after hit, impressing the audience with their energy and live vocals.

Even at the very end, TWICE stayed on stage to engage with the crowd as much as possible, showcasing their close connection with fans despite the massive scale of the venue.

As the crowd chanted for more encores—reportedly asking for "one more song"—TWICE appeared ready to continue to sing. One member even shouted, "You guys want some more?" 

But shortly after, the group had to leave the stage, quietly bidding farewell to fans through the camera, one by one.

At around the 1:26:41 mark in the full performance video above, a member can be heard testing her microphone and beginning to say, "The mic is...," before the sound suddenly cuts out.

Just seconds earlier, the members are seen listening closely to their in-ear monitors, which seemed to indicate that their time on stage was coming to an end despite their willingness to continue.

In these bittersweet final moments, TWICE wrapped up their stage after delivering a powerful 21-song setlist. On online platforms, fans and netizens around the world continue to praise TWICE for their tireless energy and passion as one of the most iconic girl groups in K-pop history.
