Singer Soyou appeared on KBS CoolFM’s 'Haha’s Super Radio' on August 21 to candidly address recent rumors about her undergoing plastic surgery.
During the broadcast, host HaHa commented on Soyou’s recent 10kg weight loss, saying, “You look so beautiful. You must be hearing this a lot these days, right?”
Soyou responded, “I’m thankful, but I heard that some people even contact those around me asking, ‘Did Soyou get [surgery/procedures]?’ or ‘Which dermatology clinic does she go to?’”
When HaHa asked if such questions felt a little hurtful, Soyou replied coolly, “I feel grateful. It’s nice to hear that people think I look prettier. If I lost weight and people didn’t notice, that would be more disappointing.”

She had previously sparked plastic surgery rumors in July when she appeared on the YouTube channel Zzanbro, revealing a noticeably changed appearance.
In response, Soyou addressed the speculation during an SNS live broadcast, saying, “Do you think my eyes look different? I appreciate that. The inner corners are makeup, and my lips are enhanced with over-lip makeup. If it seems like I had my eyes done, it just means people think I look prettier.”
She added, “I saw comments saying, ‘She got a nose job, lip fillers.’ I wondered if I looked that different, but comparing with old photos, I realized my face has just slimmed down. My double eyelids are natural, something I had since birth. My jawline has become more defined thanks to dieting. Losing weight really paid off.”
Meanwhile, Soyou released her solo album 'PDA' and JTBC drama 'The Nice Guy' OST "Talk About Love" in July.
