On August 28, KBS2’s variety show 'Problem Child in House' featured Hwangbo and Solbi as special guests. During the episode, Solbi addressed a long-standing controversy regarding a video that circulated in 2009.
Solbi stated, “A video that was not me spread online under the name ‘Solbi video.’ It was the first time my name was used to circulate something I had nothing to do with. At first, I was too scared to even think about filing a lawsuit.”

She continued, “The police even called my agency, saying, ‘Shouldn’t Solbi sue over this?’ Eventually, we filed a lawsuit, but only the distributors were caught; the original source could not be identified.”
Solbi recalled the emotional toll, adding, “It was incredibly unfair at the time. Later, with the rise of social media, edited videos resurfaced. My mother received them, and I ended up breaking up with my boyfriend. His parents probably didn’t want a girlfriend involved in such a scandal.”
Reflecting on how she coped with the incident, Solbi shared, “After that, I started painting. The world felt so dark, and I was full of resentment, but I tried various ways to overcome it. I was recommended to try art, and it changed my perspective on life. My feelings toward others improved as well. By expressing my pain through art, even malicious comments became material for my work.”
