BTS member Jimin and actress Song Da Eun have reportedly ended their relationship long ago, despite recent speculation reignited by old videos shared on social media.
According to reports on August 31st KST, the two were briefly involved around the time of Jimin’s military enlistment but are no longer in contact. Sources confirmed that the footage of Jimin recently uploaded by Song was taken during their time together in the past.
An industry insider stated, “They were briefly involved in the past. Most of the photos and videos Song Da Eun uploaded were taken back then.” Another source added, “The exact timeline of their relationship is unclear, but it’s certain they are not together now. Jimin has been serving in the military since 2023.”
Song Da Eun previously sparked dating rumors in 2022 by posting photos of BTS merchandise and an earphone case linked to Jimin. Although she denied the rumors during a live broadcast—stating she had no boyfriend—she took a firmer tone in June, saying:
“Just because the idol you like loved me doesn’t mean I deserve hate.”
Most recently, a video that appears to show Jimin’s home circulated online, but it has now been confirmed that it was also filmed in the past. If the video was shared without consent, it may constitute a violation of privacy under South Korea’s Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, which includes potential charges such as invasion of privacy and breach of secrecy. Conviction could carry penalties of up to seven years in prison.
As of now, BigHit Music, Jimin’s agency, has not released an official statement.
