Singer Wendy is set to captivate audiences with a classical twist this summer.
According to her agency ASND Entertainment on July 18, Wendy will take the stage at 'SM CLASSIC LIVE 2025 in SEOUL' on August 23 and 24 at Lotte Concert Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
'SM CLASSIC LIVE' is SM Entertainment’s classical concert brand, reinterpreting the label’s iconic hits through orchestral arrangements. Earlier this year, in celebration of its 30th anniversary, SM held the world’s first K-pop orchestral concert, 'SM CLASSICS LIVE 2025' with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, at the Seoul Arts Center and Lotte Concert Hall to much acclaim.
Wendy made a memorable appearance in the February concert, performing her solo tracks “Like Water” and “When This Rain Stops.” Her powerful vocals and the rich, classical sound of the orchestra offered a refreshing reinterpretation of the originals, receiving enthusiastic praise.
Building on the success of her previous performance, Wendy will return for the August edition of the concert, where she will sing “Like Water” and “The Road.” Notably, the orchestral version of “The Road” will be unveiled for the first time at this live event.
This upcoming concert will feature the 'SM Classics TOWN Orchestra' under the baton of conductor Cha Woong, who also serves as the artistic director of the Pohang City Symphony Orchestra. Their collaboration is expected to create a fresh synergy with Wendy’s expressive vocal style.
Wendy, best known as a member of the girl group Red Velvet, has also made her mark as a solo artist with releases such as "Like Water" and "Wish You Hell," showcasing her versatile musical talent.
Tickets for 'SM CLASSIC LIVE 2025 in SEOUL' will go on sale at 2 PM on July 25.
