Seventeen's Joshua has released a remake of the American DJ duo SLANDER's hit track "Love Is Gone."
On July 25 at 1 PM KST, Joshua dropped his version of "Love Is Gone" on major music streaming platforms. The song has been reinterpreted with his own emotional style, offering a fresh take on the popular track.
This collaboration was fulfilled after SLANDER personally reached out to Joshua. Reportedly, they believed his voice could bring emotional depth to the song and were the first to suggest the project.
"Love is Gone" is a heartfelt ballad about the pain of lost love. The original version, sung by American singer-songwriter Dylan Matthew, has accumulated over 600 million streams on Spotify.
Joshua brings the track to life with his signature smooth vocals and delicate emotional delivery. The remake features minimal arrangement and a melancholic mood, creating a distinctly new vibe.
SLANDER expressed their excitement, saying, "We're thrilled to release this new version of the song with Joshua. He preserved the emotions of the original while breathing new life into it with his unique tone."
Joshua also shared, "I'm happy to bring a song I've personally loved to my fans. I'll continue to showcase my own musical color through a variety of genres."
Meanwhile, Joshua is set to kick off Seventeen's new world tour 'NEW_' at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on September 13 and 14.
