On July 30, IVE participated in the first match of the 2025 Coupang Play Series held at Suwon World Cup Stadium, where they delivered the ceremonial kickoff and a halftime performance. The event featured Team K League, representing the K League, against Newcastle United, the winners of the 2024/25 EFL Cup, also known as the Carabao Cup.
For the event, the members wore reformed team jerseys tailored to each of them. Jang Won Young's outfit stood out in particular, being the most reformed. Her jersey was redesigned into a tube-top mini-dress with a crisscross strap around her neck.

While some fans admired the unique and bold styling, others felt it wasn't the best choice. Some netizens commented that although it suited her personal style, it wasn’t her best look. Others felt that a cleaner or lovelier style would have been more fitting, saying the dress looked too low-cut and short, and questioning why it had to be designed that way.
They commented:
"It's her own preferred style, so nothing can be done, but I don't think it's her best look."
"Whether it was her choice or the stylist's (I heard it was her idea), a cleaner or lovelier style would suit her better than that kind of styling."
"The outfit was too low-cut and short... Why did it have to be like that?"
"Even if she wore shorts underneath, the dress length looked awkward. If it had just been a top and shorts, I don’t think the reactions would have been like this."
"In the last two shots, it looks like it went down further as she moved."
"I thought she looked pretty."
"She’s not playing in the game, just doing the kickoff. She can wear something like that, and she looks pretty. I don’t get why there are so many comments about this. People here really care too much about what others wear."
"People say Wonyoung’s style is her 'preferred sexy look,' so we just have to understand it, I guess."
"The outfit is pretty, but why those shorts…"
" She looks pretty, so why all the harsh comments? It’s not like this is a job interview. All this TPO talk is nonsense."
"I think her top is cute. Not sure about the shorts underneath."
"The outfit would've worked better with underpants, not those short jeans."
"When I saw her photos on Twitter, I thought the outfit was cute."
"I think she's showing too much skin for the occasion."
"The shirt might have been a misfit. It looks like the dress was falling down over time."
"People are just throwing hate comments. Do you guys wear clothes just to look good for men or with some hidden motive? Most people wear clothes for self-satisfaction or because they like the style. Why assume intentions and leave hate just because you don’t like it? What’s with women who nitpick every outfit a female celebrity wears? Are idols not allowed to wear clothes that show even a little of their body? Why? She has a body and wore clothes, so if it shows a bit of chest or hips, is that forbidden? Why do women themselves keep oppressing women’s clothing, leaving hate, and judging idols based on what they wear?"
