Comedian Yoon Jung Soo (53) has announced his upcoming marriage to a Pilates instructor 12 years younger than him.
The news was revealed in a preview for episode 306 of MBC’s 'Where Is My Home,' released on the morning of July 8.
“I’ve met someone I’m seeing with marriage in mind,” Yoon said during the broadcast. “I’ve met her family, and if circumstances allow, we hope to get married within this year.”
The bride-to-be is reportedly a Pilates instructor. The couple is said to have first met 6 to 7 years ago through mutual acquaintances and developed a romantic relationship earlier this year.
Yoon Jung Soo made his debut in 1992 as part of SBS's first generation of comedians. He gained popularity through variety shows such as 'Infinite Challenge,' 'Sunday Night,' and '!' He is currently the co-host of KBS Cool FM’s 'Mr. Radio,' alongside fellow comedian Nam Chang Hee.
In 2013, Yoon faced a major financial crisis following the failure of a business investment and the loss of loan guarantees. He filed for personal bankruptcy, selling off all his assets including a high-end apartment in Cheongdam-dong worth over 2 billion KRW (approximately $1.5 million). The remaining debt was cleared through court proceedings.
Despite these challenges, Yoon remained hopeful about marriage. In an episode of 'Try Living With Me,' which aired on MBN and MBC Drama in April, he said, “I haven’t given up on marriage. I don’t mind living with my in-laws. I am open to everything that comes with marriage.”
After overcoming financial hardship and years of waiting, Yoon Jung Soo is now preparing for a new chapter in life, filled with love and commitment.
