TWICE’s Tzuyu celebrates her birthday with a heartfelt letter to fans “My biggest wish has finally come true”

On June 14, TWICE's Tzuyu celebrated her 26th birthday. The idol marked the special occasion with a birthday livestream, complete with cake, presents, and even a special appearance from Tzuyu's dogs, Kaya and Butter. Tzuyu's mother also visited during the livestream, as the two celebrated Tzuyu's birthday together.

As part of her celebration with fans, Tzuyu uploaded and read aloud a special letter that she had written for fans. Tzuyu revealed that TWICE would be performing in Tzuyu's hometown in Taiwan for the first time ever, and opened up about her thoughts on the exciting milestone.

"At the age of thirteen, with a heart full of anticipation and the blessings of my family, I embarked on a journey to Korea alone.

Initially, the environment was challenging due to the language barrier, cultural differences, and fierce competition; every step was arduous.

I realized that the path ahead would not be easy, yet despite the hardships, I never gave up until the very last moment, and I am grateful to my persevering self.

I appreciate the opportunities granted by the company that allowed me to debut, performing on various stages and in different regions around the world.

The applause and love from my fans illuminate my presence on stage and have helped me realize my dreams. However, I have always harbored a desire to return to my hometown and meet with my fans for a concert.

We have finally decided to perform in my hometown; after more than ten years of striving in Korea, I can proudly return to share this joy with all of you.

The journey has been filled with tears, but also overwhelming happiness.

My deepest longing has been expressed on each birthday, a wish that resonates in my heart, just like the passionate support from my fans.

This long-anticipated wish has finally come true.

I thank you for your patience, for always being there.

This promise, though unspoken, has silently lingered in our hearts until this moment of reunion, where it shall be deeply etched in our memories, becoming one of the most significant and meaningful moments in our lives.

I will convey the story of my struggles through my performances, and I extend my gratitude to all who love and support me, as well as to those who have patiently awaited my return in my hometown.
