On June 28, Psy’s signature summer concert brand, ‘SUMMERSWAG 2025,’ made its grand return at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium. The venue, packed with around 30,000 fans, buzzed with excitement well before the show began.
The first to greet the audience wasn’t PSY himself but his playful ‘double.’ A parody video featuring comedian Lee Soo Ji dressed as PSY appeared on the big screen, instantly sending the crowd into laughter.
The witty opening twisted PSY’s famous line, "I need another me to run with me," perfectly capturing the humor and self-deprecating spirit that defines ‘SUMMERSWAG.’ As the video ended, PSY appeared on stage with a jump, humorously breaking the boundary between virtual and real life.
As soon as he landed, PSY kicked off the show with his hit song ‘Champion,’ accompanied by powerful water cannons. "Don't record, just remember," a guiding message that reflects PSY’s concert philosophy, set the tone for the evening. He followed with a parade of hit songs including ‘It's Art’ and ‘Paradise.’
PSY, who reportedly prepared for about two months, shared his heartfelt excitement: "I had vague expectations, but so far, this is incredible. I’ll sing with this exact feeling right now.
Midway through the show, PSY shared an emotional moment: "My father happens to be here at the venue today." He introduced the song ‘Father,’ saying, "I’m finally singing this in front of him for the first time in 27 years." As the lyrics "Dad, I want to follow you" filled the stadium, both the stage and audience fell silent, listening intently.
The first guest of the night was BLACKPINK’s Rosé. Appearing on stage as PSY began singing the intro to ‘Apartment,’ Rosé quickly captivated the crowd with her solo song ‘Toxic Till the End.’
"I’m so happy and honored to be invited to the ‘SUMMERSWAG’ I always dreamed of. At the same time, I feel quite shy," she said with a bashful smile. Rosé expressed gratitude for the love she received since releasing her first solo album last December and said she wanted to take this chance to say thank you. She added, "The next song is one I haven’t sung in a while. I hope it becomes a song that brings comfort to both you and me."
The second guest was G-Dragon. Appearing with the song ‘POWER,’ he joked, "People don’t really invite me these days. But when the superstar of superstars, PSY, calls, I can’t say no."
"I actually came to ‘SUMMERSWAG’ once 12 years ago. I didn’t expect to stand on this stage again, but I’m happy to be here with all of you today," he said. G-Dragon electrified the crowd with performances of ‘Crayon’ and ‘Crooked,’ and even as water rained down, fans passionately sang along, pushing the venue’s energy to new heights.
"What makes me happiest? Doing everything you want to do," PSY said near the end of the show. "Laughing, crying, jumping, resting, rapping… I’ll keep singing for you."
As he promised, the ‘SUMMERSWAG’ that day went beyond being just a concert. It became an emotion, a memory. PSY wasn’t aiming for records — he wanted memories, and that wish came true vividly on this stage.
