With BLACKPINK's upcoming tour and summer comeback, fans all over the world are filled with excitement for the legendary girl group's return. However, some fans are now expressing their surprise and disappointment over one key aspect of BLACKPINK's world tour: the ticket prices.
This week, K-netizens have taken to social media to voice their unhappiness with the prices of BLACKPINK's concert tickets in Goyang, which many are criticizing as too expensive.

For BLACKPINK's Goyang Stadium show, ticket prices are set based on ticket tier, as listed here. Ticket prices range from 275,000 won (about $197 USD) to 132,000 won (about $95 USD).
Netizens are criticizing these prices as being too expensive, with many expressing worry that BLACKPINK's high ticket prices will cause concert ticket prices to rise in general, across all groups. In particular, many netizens are pointing out that BLACKPINK's concert is set at a higher ticket price than Coldplay (who recently performed in South Korea), yet BLACKPINK will be performing for a shorter amount of time than Coldplay did. Meanwhile, others say that they have no problem with the ticket prices, and that the prices are still similar to BLACKPINK's past concert ticket prices.
"They became successful because of K-pop and now they're wealthy and famous...Is it that hard to show some sincerity to the people who got them where they are now?"
"Even if it's expensive, I'm still glad I managed to get a ticket"
"BLACKPINK is now leading the way in raising ticket prices in South Korea..."
"It isn't just BLACKPINK either... these days, the prices of K-pop group concerts are crazy ㅋㅋ Even when foreign singers who made it to #1 on the Billboard charts come to Korea, their concerts end up being more affordable than K-pop idols ㅋㅋ Every time I go to a concert in Korea, I feel crazy"
"If you think it's too expensive, then just don't go.... Why is this a problem...."
"I've been to concerts much more expensive than this... And besides, someone like BLACKPINK should be getting paid this much"
"At least BTS performs for 3 hours. If the tickets are going to be this expensive, then BLACKPINK should at least perform that long. But it looks like the concert isn't even going to be two hours long..."
"These days, concert prices are usually over 100,000 won, which is already infuriating. But this is just not right..."
"Since it starts at 8, it looks like it won't even be two hours long either. Shouldn't it be at least that long??"
"The show time is 8 PM, so it won't even be 2 hours long ㅋㅋ these fans are fools"
"People complaining about the ticket price obviously just want an excuse to hate on BLACKPINK"
"What a mess, people making a fuss over something as trivial as this..."
