Vocalist Nah Sang Hyun of Mr. Nah Band has admitted to the sexual harassment accusations made against him.
Earlier this week, an anonymous netizen accused the indie band vocalist of committing sexual harassment while intoxicated. The netizen wrote, "When Nah Sang Hyun gets drunk, he has a habit of grabbing women by the thigh. If the woman is drunk, he will just leave his hand there. If the woman is sober enough and notices, he will just say that it was an accident. These are things I have both witnessed and heard about Nah Sang Hyun. But I am being vague because I'm afraid he will find out who I am. I'm sorry that there is no evidence, because these situations occurred in private."
When the accusations quickly spread via various online communities, Nah Sang Hyun himself admitted to the accusations via X.
Nah Sang Hyun wrote, "I apologize for the late response. First and foremost, I would like to apologize to the original writer of the post and to all those who felt discomfort due to my past actions. In the past, I hurt the original writer of the post in a state of intoxication, when my mind and my surroundings were unclear. I was not able to apologize in person for that incident, which burdens my heart. Knowing that my apology is long overdue, I would like to take this opportunity to apologize. If permitted, I would also like to apologize in person. Please contact me privately if you are willing to hear my apology."
The vocalist added on, "About 3~4 years ago, I was told off for my language and behavior while intoxicated. After that, I sought help from my surroundings in an attempt to fix my issues. I will continue to reflect and to work on myself so that such incidents do not occur again. Once again, I apologize to those who were offended by my actions. I also apologize to all those who were troubled by this matter. I fully acknowledge that my past actions do not align with the values that I publicly endorsed."
Meanwhile, Mr. Nah Band debuted in 2014 with the release of 'Late Dawn'. The band is comprised of vocalist/guitarist Nah Sang Hyun, bassist Baek Seung Ryeol, and drummer Kang Hyun Woong.
