Actress Kim Nam Joo has officially entered the world of YouTube, marking her debut as a content creator 32 years after her acting debut.

On May 20, Kim launched her own YouTube channel titled Kim Nam Joo. The first video, titled “32-year debut, rookie YouTuber Kim Nam Joo says hello”, features the actress showing snippets of her daily life—from tending her garden to sharing her outfit and meals.

In the video, Kim says, “People often think I’m aloof and strong from what they see on TV, but I’m actually quite different. On YouTube, I’m just a beginner. I hope to learn a lot from you all.” She adds that the channel’s goal is to show her “as she is,” with no pretenses or embellishments.

Explaining why she started YouTube, Kim shared, “The world has changed. One day, I found myself watching YouTube all the time. I thought it would be nice to connect with people here and show them the real me.”

Kim Nam Joo’s YouTube content will also be featured on SBS Life’s new reality show “The Queen of Taste: Kim Nam Joo.” This marks her first official variety appearance since her debut in 1994.
