Singer Kim Jong Kook revealed the reason he turned down all the blind dates his acquaintances tried to set up for him.
On the May 29 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s variety show 'Problem Child in House,' actors Lee Min Jung and Kim Jae Won appeared as guests, showcasing their humor and wits while promoting their new show, 'Heart on Wheels.'
During the episode, Lee Min Jung revealed that she once actively tried to set up Kim Jong Kook on blind dates, mentioning that he is close friends with her husband, actor Lee Byung Hun.
However, Kim Jong Kook declined the offer twice. She shared, "I tried to actively set him on dates, but he proactively declined, saying 'No.'" The other hosts were surprised and questioned why Kim Jong Kook turned down the blind dates.

He explained, “Blind dates make me uncomfortable,” and elaborated, "After the blind date, I feel I have to share how it went," and said he prefers to meet people naturally. Lee Min Jung chimed in, "He said he likes to meet naturally, so I did try to set up a natural meeting, but he said no again."
Lee Min Jung added, “The friend I was trying to set him up with is now married and doing well.” Kim Jong Kook responded, “I heard about that. Turns out I know her husband too. She ended up with someone… good,” making everyone laugh.
Meanwhile, 'Problem Child in House' is a knowledge-based talk show where Song Eun Yi, Kim Sook, Kim Jong Kook, Hong Jin Kyung, Yang Se Chan, and Joo Woo Jae are “locked” in a rooftop room and must solve quizzes to escape. It airs every Thursday at 8:30 PM.
