The hit song “Love Song” by Coloring Baby 7 Princesses (7 Princesses) remains a nostalgic favorite for many.

The girl group 7 Princesses, who debuted at the remarkably young average age of 7.8, garnered significant attention at the time. In 2018, they captured hearts once again by earning a perfect score of 100 on JTBC’s 'Sugar Man' Season 2. Over 20 years have now passed since the release of their 'Love Song' album.

While most of the 7 Princesses members have continued working in the entertainment industry, one member has taken a completely different path and is gaining attention for it. Park Yu Rim, who debuted at the age of five and is now 25, has transitioned from idol to math instructor, beginning a second chapter in her life.

Park Yu Rim graduated from the Korea Science Academy of KAIST and went on to study Computer Science at KAIST. She later transferred to the Mathematical Sciences department, dedicating herself to academics while also modeling for the university magazine 'College Tomorrow' and placing as runner-up in the 2019 Miss Incheon pageant, sparking speculation about a potential return to the entertainment world.

However, Park Yu Rim chose a surprising route: becoming a math instructor. She began as a university student math mentor at SkyEdu in 2019, and two years later, she officially debuted as an online math lecturer.

In 2022, she stood out in the Math Korea competition, a math instructor audition jointly hosted by Daesung MyMac and Gangnam Daesung Academy, and began teaching in-person at the elite Daechi Dookak Academy.

As a child, Park Yu Rim showed talent not only in broadcasting but also in traditional instruments like the gayageum and the flute.

While juggling school and entertainment activities, it was math that she found most enjoyable, an interest that heavily influenced her career choice.

What’s noteworthy is that Park Yu Rim never completely gave up on any of her passions. She continues to play instruments as a hobby and also maintains her modeling work, thanks to her disciplined self-management.

She attributes her ability to succeed in such diverse fields to meticulous time management.

Even as a young member of 7 Princesses, she never neglected her studies, solving math problems during waiting times at shoots. By making the most of every spare moment, she was able to pursue music, academics, and broadcasting all at once.
