On May 16 KST, C9 Entertainment announced EPEX member Keum Dong Hyun's hiatus from all activities. 

The label stated, "Due to Keum Dong Hyun's personal reasons, his activities will be suspended until related matters are settled. EPEX will be promoting as a 7-member group starting today."

Earlier this month, several other boy group members announced similar hiatuses from their group activities, spurring on speculations that they would be appearing on Mnet's upcoming idol audition program 'Boys II Planet'. 

Meanwhile, Keum Dong Hyun previously drew public attention as a contestant on the Mnet audition program 'Produce X 101', where the producers rigged his final rank (8th place), eliminating him from the winning group at 14th place.
