Singer and actor Cha Eun Woo is preparing to fulfill his mandatory military service, having recently applied to join the Republic of Korea Army’s military band.
According to Sports World on May 9, Cha Eun Woo attended an interview for the Army military band earlier today at the Ministry of National Defense's military band unit located at the Seoul National Cemetery. Witnesses have also reported sightings of the star at the interview venue.
His agency, Fantagio, confirmed the news and stated that Cha Eun Woo did attend the Army military band interview. However, the results have not been announced yet, so they cannot share further details at this time and asked for understanding.
The Army military band began accepting applications at the end of March, with interviews taking place on May 9. The final results will be announced on May 29 through the Military Manpower Administration’s official website.
If selected, Cha Eun Woo is expected to enter basic training this July. After completing training, he will begin his service as a member of the Army military band.
Despite preparing for enlistment, Cha Eun Woo is continuing his busy acting schedule. He is currently filming the upcoming Netflix series 'The Wonder Fools,' where he plays the role of Lee Woon Jung. He is also set to appear in the film 'First Ride' as the character Yeon Min.
