As Wooyoung lifted his hand to pose for fans and media, Yunho gently held it down, an action fans quickly interpreted as a precautionary move amid growing sensitivity around idol hand gestures.

The 'V' or peace sign, often used innocently by K-pop stars in photos, has come under scrutiny due to its unintended association as support for the conservative People Power Party, which is associated with the number 2 on the ballot. With the upcoming presidential election in South Korea’s heated political climate, even harmless gestures have been misinterpreted as signs of political support. Following the incident, Wooyoung took to the fan communication platform Bubble to apologize and wrote, "Sigh, I'm a dumb fool, making the V sign. I have years of experience, who am I kidding? I still haven't gotten it together. I'm sorry... I love you, Yunho. Thank you."
