Coupang Play has announced that actor Ahn Jae Hong will appear as the host of episode 7 of the comedy show 'SNL Korea Season 7', scheduled to air on May 17th KST.
Ahn Jae Hong has earned a reputation as a skilled actor through his performances in films such as 'The King of Jokgu, 'The King’s Case Note', 'Microhabitat', and 'Rebound', as well as in dramas like 'Reply 1988', 'Be Melodramatic', 'Mask Girl', 'LTNS', and 'Chicken Nugget', known for his strong screen presence and uncanny character synchronicity.
Particularly famous for his deeply immersive performances, Ahn has jokingly been nicknamed the “Retirement Meme Pioneer.” On SNL Korea 7, he is expected to showcase his signature intensity once again, potentially putting an end to the now-iconic “retirement meme.”
Ahn Jae Hong shared his thoughts ahead of the appearance, saying, “I’m thrilled to be joining such an amazing crew. I laugh a lot, so I’m already wondering how I’ll hold my own against their counterattacks. I’ll try to perform with joy and give it my all.” He added, “I’m determined to complete my own comedic course that I’ve engraved in my heart.”
Episode 7 of SNL Korea Season 7 will be available on Coupang Play at 8 PM on May 17th.
