The 61st Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony was held on the afternoon of May 5 at COEX Hall D in Seoul, hosted by entertainer Shin Dong Yup and actors Suzy and Park Bo Gum.
This year, the grand prize in the film category at the Baeksang Arts Awards went to director Hong Kyung Pyo for 'Harbin,' and the grand prize in the television category was awarded to 'Culinary Class Wars.'
The competition was fierce, as many works received immense attention in 2025. Among them, 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' garnered the most awards. Although it did not win the Grand Prize, 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' became the biggest winner overall, securing four awards: Best Drama, Best Supporting Actor (Choi Dae Hoon), Best Supporting Actress (Yeom Hye Ran), and Best Screenplay (Im Sang Choon).
However, to fans' surprise, the lead actors IU and Park Bo Gum left the award ceremony empty-handed. Following the award show, many netizens gathered on various platforms to discuss this and express their opinions of IU and Park Bo Gum not winning anything on this year's Baeksang Awards despite leading one of the most popular series in 2025.
