2PM’s Taecyeon denies marriage rumors.
On February 5th KST, his agency 51K told, “The marriage rumors are not true.” They further clarified, “He simply took a photo for his girlfriend’s birthday. Since she is a non-celebrity, we are also taken aback by the photo leak.”
Earlier that day, an online community post claimed that Taecyeon had secretly married last year, citing photos uploaded by a photographer in Paris. The images, taken in France, showed him giving a ring to his girlfriend in a scene reminiscent of a proposal. The user pointed out that the photos had been posted in April 2023, fueling speculation that he had already tied the knot. However, the photographer later deleted the post.
Taecyeon publicly confirmed his relationship with his non-celebrity girlfriend in 2020. At the time, he expressed his feelings on social media, stating, “I’m sorry if this sudden news surprised or disappointed anyone. Just as I have always done, I will continue to do my best in both 2PM activities and acting, so please keep watching over me.” Since then, the couple has openly dated, often spotted together in public, receiving warm support from fans.
Meanwhile, Taecyeon recently starred as pastry chef Rick Yuan in the Japanese film ‘Grand Maison Paris’, which continues to be a box office success with 2.16 million admissions in its fourth week. He is also set to meet Korean fans at his upcoming Valentine’s Day fan event, ‘SweeTY OKCAT’s Happy Valentine’s Day’, on February 15th and 16th at Ilchi Art Hall in Seoul.
