Comedian Jang Do Yeon shares why she felt happy drinking with Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook.
On December 10th KST, the YouTube channel ‘TEO universe’ released an episode titled “What’s up with this unnie? (positive) | EP.69 Bae Doo Na”. In the video, actress Bae Doona appeared as a guest and expressed her fondness for Jang Do Yeon, sharing how they became close.
During the episode, Bae Doo Na promoted her Coupang Play series ‘Family Plan’ and was impressed by Jang Do Yeon’s professional hosting. She remarked, “You seem so different, much more professional than when we meet in private,” adding, “Your energy is different.” Jang Do Yeon responded humbly, saying, “Why are you saying such embarrassing things?”
Jang Do Yeon then drew attention by asking, “Can I share a boastful story?” She revealed an anecdote about a private drinking session with actors Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook. At the time, Gong Yoo had invited Bae Doo Na, saying, “I’m drinking with Dong Wook. Won’t you join us? There’s someone here you might like.”
Jang Do Yeon shared, “As soon as Bae Doo Na arrived, she immediately said my name,” with a proud smile. Bae Doo Na added, “What was amazing was that Gong Yoo didn’t know I was a fan of Jang Do Yeon. But I couldn’t help blurting out, ‘Jang Do Yeon?’”
After a brief pause, Gong Yoo jokingly replied, “No, it’s not her,” pretending not to know. Bae Doona recounted, “I thought to myself, ‘If it’s not Jang Do Yeon, who could it be?’ and decided to go to the gathering. When I arrived, Jang was sitting there.”
Jang Do Yeon described the moment as “pure happiness and ecstasy” and asked, “Why do you like me so much?”
Bae Doo Na playfully responded, “Don’t you have many people who like you?” When Jang jokingly requested, “Then show me more of your charm,” Bae Doo Na countered with a laugh, saying, “I don’t want to compete for you or possess you.”
