ILLIT responds to criticism about their live vocals, says they’ve sharpened their performance skills for their comeback

ILLIT addressed their previous live performance controversy during their comeback press conference.

On the afternoon of October 21, ILLIT (Yoona, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) held a media showcase for their second mini-album 'I'LL LIKE YOU' at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjang-dong, Seoul.

After performing an encore following a music show win, ILLIT faced criticism regarding their live vocals. In response to a related question, Iroha stated, "We've taken the feedback from many people seriously and have put a lot of effort into refining every detail of our live performances to show a better version of ourselves. We aim to continue growing as ILLIT."

Yoona added, "While preparing for our second mini-album, we performed at overseas concerts and university festivals. The process of diligently preparing for the stage and gaining experience has been the foundation for our growth."

ILLIT's second mini-album, 'I'LL LIKE YOU,' is a collection of five tracks, including the title track "Cherish (My Love)," as well as "I'll Like You," "IYKYK (If You Know You Know)," "Pimple," and "Tick-Tack." The album tells the story of a girl who, overwhelmed by her emotions, wants to get closer to someone, ultimately trusting her feelings and going straight for her heart’s desire.

The title track, "Cherish (My Love)," showcases ILLIT's candid and confident charm, with a catchy chorus and the members' clear vocals standing out in this dance-pop song. The lyrics express curiosity about the other person's feelings but emphasize that the girl's love for them is more important, reflecting the youthful mindset of being content with one's emotions.

ILLIT has already set a career-high with pre-orders alone. As of October 17, their second mini-album has surpassed 550,000 pre-orders, more than 2.6 times higher than their debut mini-album 'SUPER REAL ME,' which reached 211,851 pre-orders. This positions them well on the path to becoming a two-time half-million seller.

Meanwhile, ILLIT's second mini-album, 'I'LL LIKE YOU,' was officially released on October 21 at 6 PM.
