On the October 19th episode of 'Show! Music Core', Karina took the 1st place trophy with her solo track "UP", beating out QWER's "My Name is Sunny" and AB6IX's "My Name is Sunny". "UP" is a track from aespa's special digital single 'SYNK: PARALLEL LINE', and she previously performed the song during aespa's 'SYNK HYPER LINE' tour. It's also currently sitting at #2 on most major music charts.
Karina's emotional reaction to her first ever solo music show win has now gone viral. After the music show win announcement, she took to Bubble to thank fans, sending crying emojis and two selfies with tears in her eyes. She then explained, "I'm in the middle of hair and makeup right now, so I can't cry. That's why I brought out my crying selfie from before. Don't worry. I'm still too shocked to cry! Not yet!"
