JYP Entertainment are officially opening a subsidiary in Latin America.
On July 18, JYPE announced the label's plans to launch a subsidiary in the Latin American music market later this year in order to expand tour regions for artists and new businesses as well as to establish communication channels for local fans. The label further revealed plans to launch their first main project and audition program in Latin America, LatinAmerica2Korea.
JYPE stated, "We'll introduce a Latin girl group based on the K-pop system." They'll be working alongside Universal Music Latino, a label under Universal Music Group.
JYP Entertainment previously launched the audition program America2Korea in 2023 in collaboration with Republic Records, which led to the debut of the girl group VCHA.
