According to a December 12 exclusive report by Star News, The Boyz member Sunwoo has been admitted to a hospital following a sudden decline in his health condition. On the evening of December 11, Sunwoo sought medical attention at a hospital in Seoul after experiencing pain in his neck and shoulders.
Accompanied by a representative from IST Entertainment, the group's agency, Sunwoo was urgently taken to a nearby hospital. After a thorough examination, he was diagnosed with neuralgia and neuritis. The medical team has advised Sunwoo to take a minimum of one week of complete rest to recover.
This health issue comes after another member of The Boyz, Ju Haknyeon, had previously paused his activities with the group due to health concerns.
As a result of Sunwoo's health condition, The Boyz will be attending the upcoming 2023 Asia Artist Awards in the Philippines (2023 AAA), scheduled for December 14 at the Philippine Arena, with only nine members.
