Actress Song Ji Hyo has signed on with a new label after cutting ties with her problematic former agency, Uzurocks.
On October 13 KST, the new entertainment label NEXUS E&M confirmed that it has signed an exclusive contract with Song Ji Hyo. NEXUS E&M is a newly founded entertainment branch of the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical product company, Nexus Pharma Co., Ltd. The company previously selected Song Ji Hyo as the model for its 'GLUTANEX' cosmetic product line, and based on that relationship, decided to reach out to Song Ji Hyo for a management offer under the new entertainment branch.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, it was revealed that Song Ji Hyo's former agency, Uzurocks, was facing immense financial debt. It was further confirmed that not only was Song Ji Hyo not paid for her activities through Uzurocks, but many of the company's employees had also not received salaries, seriously facing threats to their livelihood.
