On August 26th, Joshua updated fans on Weverse by posting his selfie. Joshua's update comes after a period of silence, largely speculated to be due to the recent scandal. He simply wrote, "Carats, good work today !!"
This update, however, drew mixed reactions among fans as Joshua neither confirmed nor denied his scandal and has been laying low without any updates until now, except for messages to members. Some of the comments and tweets are:

Meanwhile, Joshua's dating scandal arose about 3 weeks ago when fans and netizens speculated his alleged influencer girlfriend shared the closet with Joshua as the two were spotted using the same clothes or accessories.
That phrase "dating scandal" gets under my skin. THERE IS NOTHING "CONTROVERSIAL" ABOUT IT! except that the uploaders at Allkpop and some KNutz are suffering from brain radiation sickness.
