Shinhwa member and solo artist Shin Hyesung (43) has been forwarded to prosecution on charges of driving an unknown person's vehicle without permission, as well as for refusing a breathalyzer test when police found him asleep inside a vehicle in the middle of a road.

Seoul Songpa Police confirmed on November 15, "Shin Hyesung has been forwarded to prosecution without detainment for violating traffic laws and for illegal use of a vehicle."

Previously, some time in early October, police were dispatched after civilians reported that a vehicle was stopped in the middle of a road in Songpa-gu. An individual was asleep inside the vehicle, Shin Hyesung. Upon apprehending Shin Hyesung, police also discovered that the vehicle he was found in was reported as stolen. 

Shin Hyesung is said to have admitted to driving an unknown person's vehicle, but has claimed that he did not have any intention to steal the car.
