What have the members of IZ*ONE been up to after the group's disbandment?

IZ*ONE was created through the Mnet survival show Produce48 in 2018. Their contract lasted 2.5 years and ended in April 2021. What have the members been doing ever since? 

1. MIYAWAKI SAKURA

Right after IZ*ONE's disbandment, Sakura went back to her home country Japan. About two weeks later, she announced her graduation from HKT48, a group whom she had joined in 2011. Soon rumors spread about her signing with HYBE in regards to HYBE's new girl group. In August 2021, Sakura returned to Korea, Sakura's rep in Japan confirmed she signed with HYBE and is expected to debut later this year. 

2. YABUKI NAKO

Nako also returned to her home country Japan and her original group, HKT48, in which she is still promoting.

3. HONDA HITOMI

Honda Hitomi returned to Japan and her group AKB48 Team 8. Because of her newfound popularity, she got to participate in an AKB48 main single for the first time. 

4. AHN YUJIN

Ahn Yujin returned to her company Starship Entertainment. She continued her job as an MC on Inkigayo while also preparing for Starship's new girl group.

5. JANG WONGYOUNG

While Wonyoung had several photoshoots CFs. She also is preparing to debut in Starship Entertainment's new girl group 

6. KIM CHAEWON

Soon after Chaewon returned to Woollim Entertainment, the media reported that she is transferring to HYBE to debut in their new girl group along with former groupmate Miyawaki Sakura.

7. KWON EUNBI

IZ*ONE's leader didn't sit still after the group's disbandment. She made her solo debut under Woollim Entertainment with the release of her 1st mini album ''OPEN.''

8. LEE CHAEYEON

Chaeyeon joined the cast of the Mnet dance show ''Street Woman Fighter''. It is also expected that she'll eventually debut with WM Entertainment's new girl group.

9. CHOI YENA

While many expected Yena to join Everglow. Under Yuehua Entertainment, she made an appearance on several variety shows while preparing for a solo debut which is set for later in 2021.

10. JO YURI

Jo Yuri returned to Wake One Entertainment and is slowly waiting for solo activities. 

11. KIM MINJU

Kim Minju currently is under Urban Works Media and works as an MC on Show! Music Core. She is also the rumored 3rd IZ*ONE member who possibly might join HYBE's new girl group.

12. KANG HYEWON

Kang Hyewon is back at 8D Entertainment and released a photobook.
