Agust D’s Mixtape ‘D-2’ sets a new milestone, surpassing 300 Million Streams on Spotify
BTS’s SUGA keeps breaking records before the first anniversary of his second mixtape, D-2. (May 22, 2020).
On April 28, AgustD’s Second self-produced mixtape D-2 has officially surpassed 300 million streams on Spotify, making it the "fastest solo album by a Korean soloist in the platform’s history" to hit this milestone. (just in the span of 341 days). It is the second album by a K-soloist to hit this feat.
Furthermore, while it’s getting closer to the first anniversary of “D-2”, SUGA keeps scoring feats with his three-stage names. On the 27th of April, the title track of his album, Daechwita, surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify which made him the only k-soloist to have 4 songs crossed this feat with three different names. Besides, his mesmerizing music video became the fastest one by a Korean soloist that surpassed 10 million likes on YouTube just in 326 days. It also has hit 225 Million views on YouTube, which is the most viewed MV released in2020 by a Korean soloist.
Agust D’s D-2 holds the record for the highest Korean solo album that charted at number 11 on billboard 200 and number 9 on Billboard Top Rap Albums. He is the first and only Korean soloist who has charted at number #4 on Artist Hot 100.
Last time I got so impressed with an album was when Linkin Park released Meteora back in 2003... Min Yoongi is one of the finest musicians and producers of his generation.
