YG Entertainment announces that BLACKPINK's "THE ALBUM" has exceeded over 800,000 pre-orders

After having released two singles, one in June " How you like that" and another in August "Ice cream", a collab with the Popstar Selena Gomez, BLACKPINK are scheduled to comeback in October with their first full-length album "THE ALBUM".

Fans seem to be really excited after the news of the girls' first full album since it has, according to YG, surpassed 800,000 pre-order copies in less than one week.

With such a number of copies sold, "THE ALBUM" will be the best-selling album of all-time by a K-pop girl group. A record, owned for 23 years by S.E.S' "Love" with over 760,000 copies sold.

I'm sad it's only 8 songs, and that we've already gotten 2 of them. It feels more like an EP than an album. Why can't we just get a full album of 10+ new songs?

Their first two songs were a total letdown tbh. YGE said that they prioritise quality over quantity. But so far, I don't see anything great coming out of BP. The girls said that they spend alot of time in the studio to get quality music and all we get is some overly sexualised cringy lyrics. I hope the rest of the songs come out great. After AIIYL, their songs have become oversaturated and unpleasant. Hopefully, they release something better than those usual lame lyrics with repetitive beats
