To all those saying "but those are foreigners", that's a Jun 2019 Sina China article on the trend. Article featured Liu Yifei - waaaay bigger star in China and female lead of Disney's upcoming Mulan - as lead-in. So no, that blip on weibo was not indicative of trend setting.
