HaHa sheds tears as he worries about Byul's unexpected third pregnancy

HaHa shed tears talking about his wife Byul's recent pregnancy.

On the January 19th episode of 'Point of Omniscient Interference', HaHa sat down with Byul's manager on the day he found out about his wife's third pregnancy. According to Byul's manager, HaHa's manager is "not a good drinker", so he would often accompany HaHa whenever he needs a buddy.

During their conversation, HaHa suddenly wiped a tear as he worried for Byul's well-being. The singer-entertainer shared, "Mothers these days, don't they give up on their dreams once they have children? I don't want that to be my case."

"We said, 'our second child is the end.' We said that...", revealed HaHa. In tears, HaHa showed his care for Byul, pondering whether her pregnancy will hinder her own career as a singer. Back at the studio, Byul also wiped a tear as she watched her husband.

Earlier that day, HaHa had also revealed to Byul, "I am really delighted and happy, but there are more people who can't have a third child because they feel sorry." However, Byul's response to HaHa's statement was, "a child is a gift from heaven," telling HaHa not to feel sorry.

HaHa and Byul recently announced that they were expecting their third child, allegedly conceived during a trip to Hawaii.

I'm confused why so many of the comments are negative - neither of them said they don't want the kid? or wish the pregnancy didn't happen? He literally is expressing worry for his wife that as a mother of soon to be three children she will have less time for her career - something that is obviously very important to her. This was clearly a surprise for them & It's incredibly sweet & shows how much he respects her & her career & also her role as a mom. I literally don't think I'll ever find a dude who thinks of me that way lol that was my initial reaction - not "wHy NoT uSe A cOnDoM tHeN?!"

being a mother of 2 myself I think Haha is the most compassionate and understanding husband ever! He wants her to continue her dream of the stage but at the same time hes filled with guilt coz he knows shed about to give that up for many more years staying home and raising another baby. So I get where hes coming from and she is an amazing lady to wait for her career to come again. Raising kiddos is hard work that never ends lol

I understand the unexpected surprise but I sure hope the child doesn’t end up reading about or seeing this initial reaction. That couldn’t possibly be a good thing for the child to learn about. Unfortunately once it’s on the internet, it basically is always there.

I wonder why Haha didn't get a vasectomy. It's a procedure with a low recovery time and it's nearly 100% effective at preventing pregnancies.

Unfortunately I happen to know at least 5 couples where the husband got a vasectomy or the wife had tubal ligation and they all have had another child. Heck my own brother was born after my mom had tubal ligation!

It usually takes 3-6 months for a patient to be totally sperm-free after a vasectomy. Many people stop using other forms of birth control during this period (against their doctor's recommendation) and, thus, have unexpected pregnancies. After that period, the failure rate is less than 1 in 1000.

Byul must feel lost about her career, this sentence ""Mothers these days, don't they give up on their dreams once they have children? I don't want that to be my case." must makes Haha feels a lot guilty about getting her pregnant.

But I don't understand, did they actually wanted this 3rd child or not since they say "we said our 2nd child is the last" ?

The ending of the article is so unnecessary. We don't need to know when they had sex. Like, why? It's such a weird thing to put in. Anyway, it's definitely a surprise, especially if they weren't expecting or planning for a third one. But in the end, a baby is always a blessing, and a big family is always fun :)

i'm not the type to tell people they should be happy but so many people want a family and cannot have

i think they are both happy but HaHa is also feeling sorry for his wife. an unexpected child means that whatever the plan was for the next 10+ years really is going to change. of course they are happy BUT they shouldn't be happy just because they have something that other people can't have. he feels sorry for his wife because in their family the biggest changes will be for her in that she may not be able to promote as a singer as she would like and as she intended after their 2nd child. it's okay to feel like that. i'm sure other news that come out will be happier, no need to worry!

Gosh I hate so much your sentence.

So, if I was a future mum, should I sacrifice my choice to not keep this baby just to make people's opinion happy because other couple can't?

My body is definitively not yours, and you are not her/his mother and dad. As much as we know you are not going to raise this child, so put your opinion elsewhere.

The choice should be between the dad and the mum. This baby won't impact your life but the life of this dad and especially this mum. People should learn to involves only in their personal affairs, not into other people's privacy. Because these ready-made sentences as "You don't have the right to make a choice because some unknown people don't have a choice, so you are bad" are extremely intrusive and disrespectful to this family. If you have the choice then it's good for you, that's the best thing it can happen to you, so be cheerful than being embittered and being uncomfortably jealous. What's make a couple happy is to have a choice or not.

And as the best exemple as Haha and Byul, they can have kids but they didn't had the choice, that's why they shared tears and are worried at each other, and especially Haha for Byul's personal dream and profesional future. As much as we know, from koreans' point of view (korean woman still don't have the right of abortion), they don't have the choice. And they seems unhappy.

It's not like he doesn't want the baby, but I'll say this: If he's so worried, instead of just talking about it, maybe he should do something about it. Like, helping his wife with the children so she can still have her career? I mean, his concerns ain't gonna go away with crying.

Maybe he did use protection? No form of protection is 100% safe

I don't think it's as simple as 2 kids = career but 3 kids = no career.

Should've used a condom, got a vasectomy, or got her tubes tied, etc. They had options, but if the pregnancy is still early, they could've get an abortion

The only form of contraception that is 100% safe is chastity.

Because every single form of contraception you listed isn't 100% safe.

ffs - it's not that difficult to use a condom!
Or to have an abortion.

First, how do you know they didn’t take protective measures? The pill and condoms are not 100%. I was taking the pill and my boyfriend was also using condoms and I still got pregnant (though I miscarriaged later).

Second, they are both really religious so I doubt they would get an abortion. Maybe they were using protective measures but when you’re married, you don’t really worry about the consequences of unprotected sex because you're in a committed relationship. even when you do use protection, that’s not 100%. Things happen.

the reason i dont think they took any measures is because they both talk about it like it was an accident.... and because of how often you see korean celebs having shotgun weddings because of unwanted pregnancies at a young age....and because I know that sex-ed really isnt a thing in Korea.

of course i will never know for 100%,

That may true but shotgun wedding are actually not that common in South Korea, Korean celebrities don’t even make up 1% of the Korean population and haha and byuls wedding wasn’t a shotgun wedding. If they took the precautions, of course the pregnancy would be a shock and treated as an accident. doesn't that make sense?

abortion should never be an option :( a condom could have tho

imo abortion can always be an option as long as the fetus is still just a bunch of cells and not developed any human traits.
