Jungkook of BTS has addressed recent controversy surrounding his live broadcast, offering an apology to fans.

On April 8 KST, Jungkook went live on the fan communication platform Weverse, where he took time to speak directly with fans. During the broadcast, he mentioned his February live stream, which drew criticism after he appeared intoxicated and used profanity.

“I wanted to apologize to ARMY about the recent live,” Jungkook said. “I’m not sure if I did something seriously wrong, but since I hadn’t shown that side of myself before, I thought it might have made some fans uncomfortable.”

He continued, “If any ARMY felt uncomfortable, I’m sorry. I’ll be more mindful. I think I was just in a really good mood that day.”

At the same time, Jungkook expressed his honest stance on the situation. “Personally, I don’t think it was a major wrongdoing. It’s something people in this field often do,” he said, adding that he chose to apologize out of consideration for fans rather than because he believed his actions were entirely inappropriate.

Jungkook also emphasized his sincerity toward fans, stating, “Those who know how I feel about ARMY will understand. I’ve always been genuine, and I want to do well because of you.”

He acknowledged his imperfections, saying, “I can’t say I’m a perfect or completely righteous person, but I’ll try to accept feedback if something crosses a line.”

While maintaining that he does not fully view the incident as wrong, Jungkook reiterated that he wanted to apologize to fans who may have felt uncomfortable, highlighting the diversity of opinions within his global fandom.

His remarks have since sparked mixed reactions, with some fans appreciating his candidness and others continuing to debate the issue.
